a Ton of tags that were "force name changed" like Pussy and Marijuana were reset by microsoft, making them available when before they were just gone.

Maybe this only works for iPhone.

If you don't have the smartglass app you can also try changing your GT to something containing the word on a fresh account on xbox.com
For example word + random numbers. If it was an FNC reset it will say that it is unavailable.
My tag Cartier for example, if you try something like Cartier 489789 it will still say "this gamertag is unavailable". Seems to be equally accurate.

I've tried all the posts above on some of the tags I got, and it seems to me that I just got lucky. I can make the Gamertag with random numbers, and post them in my bio on 360 smartglass. GG MS.
