So this tag has been a v1 for like ever and i decided to check it today and this came up

And to make sure that there wasn't a spaced version because if a spaced version gets online and you look up the non spaced version it shows that the v1 was online even though it wasn't, it was just the v2 spaced version. So to be sure i went to xbox.com to check and sure enough.

How does this even happen? It's basically like waking up in the morning and saying "oh today i feel like deciding to log into my xbox account after not logging in for 7 or more years".

It happens when someone calls MS about an account, they login to check if the info they submitted was correct. Not sure how it got 3 stars though.

That's what i'm saying though, a v1 has no stars / rep.

Thats not what happened phantom. It happens when an employee signed into the account, which means he reserved the GT. ( The tag is now that employee's)
