How did you find runescape?

Back when i was about 6, my granddad often used to take me to the library, i used to sit their reading my childrens books and watch the older kids play on games on the pc's there. Ny older cousin said he played a game called runescape, however, i thought the game was called Room Escape. I couldn't see what people would enjoy about this? But anyway, my cousin let me kind of share his account, either i would watch him play or i would click on what he wanted me to, anyway, i started an account of my own back in between 2004- 2005 i cant remember, an thats how i found and started to play rs.

What about you guys?
 
I wa like 7 when my cousin was playing it,so i started 2 years later
got stuck in tut island
tried again a year later,succeeded.
 
My friend told me about it in '05. I went home after school made an account and everything. The funny thing is I didn't know how to open a door so I quit. @ years later I came back from another friend and succeeded. Lol.
 
Wow are you serious my cousin told me about it too! And Im not joking I thought he said Room Escape and when I first played it I thought that you were stuck on tutorial island trying to escape!
 
I moved schools in grade 3 and it was the craze....I couldn't pass tutorial island....didn't know how to move the screen to view other points of view. So I got bored. Tried again later and succeeded. Victory, ftw.
 
In grade 4, everyone was playing it so I started I remember having 10K back then and thinking I was rich
 
In grade 6, which was 2004 I had a new zealand exchange student, and he kept talking about this game called runescape to some of the kids from my school, and i had no idea since I hardly used computers, they showed me it and I played it for a night and I quit, then start of the next year in highschool i realised all them guys from my school kept playing so I thought i'd play again and i thought it was shit still, I played everynow and then and later that year I moved school and quit.. well so I thought.

The new school I went to everyone played it, so I did aswell, and as I was competitive I wanted to be the best, in which I did.

I quit late 2007, came back 2009 for a bit, quit again came back 2010 for a bit, quit again and came back for free trade, play every now and then just to stake but hardly ever, havent played since june 2011
 
My brother and some guys from hes school played it and had a clan...
Then one of my brothers friends gave me an account cause he stopped playing, so I began playing.
An year+ later he asked me if he could get hes account back because hes cousin or something needed it, I gave him back and had to start over again.. Then I created my current account and played which I am still doing (on and off)

I'm actually happy that he asked to get hes account back now, so I know I've made the account from the start
 
Yeah my brother introduced me to it when I was like 6-7 and I pronounced it run-escape back then.
Thinking back I can actually remember enjoying the game as their was a sense of mystery, I always wanted to be a member and would go to the member areas and wonder what was beyond it lol.

Is what my parents used to always call it no matter how many times I corrected them!
 
My best mate played it when he was 10/11, and introduced me then. He quit for PS2 soon afterwards, but I continued playing.

I got into the trading community at the age of about 14. I was a little shit on sythe, and was banned because I was hacked. I requested the ban for that reason. Stupid admin never unbanned my account.

I've played on and off for 5 years now, it's a stupid game. But I hope to profit from my time spent on it.
 
Brother and his friends, I sucked at it lol i bought my account for 20 dollers then i started getting good
