How can I start off with coding?

I've always wanted to make my own programs, but I don't know where to start... I'd like to learn VB.net, but where do i start?

If you want to learn vb.net then believe me there's no good place to start else than http://howtostartprogramming.com/vb-net/ .
Fast and easy to understand tuts, with source code of each tutorial. Best place to start for beginner imo

Other than that, previously thenewboston now https://buckysroom.org has a load of tuts..

Also http://www.google.com, this website is also pretty awesome when you are stuck at something.. just enter what problem you have and you'll most likely get solutions to it.
