heartbleed ?

i have a question on all the social site or at least most.

i have seen a thing saying something about heartbleed and
to change my password and what not

i'm curious on what heartbleed is ?​

Google, and quite a few of the very large sites were alerted prior to it being released publicly, and they were prepared and fixed it, however Yahoo was effected (I believe it was the biggest site effected according to the list I had).

Also, it was basically an exploit on OpenSSL.

I first found out through Tumblr and then proceeded onto changing all of my passwords and whatnot.
