Headset to record my voice for live gameplay/commentary

For years now i've always wanted to play xbox and record my voice along with the people im playing against. I do have a el gato and its easy to do this, but the problem is my mic (turtle beach x11's) dont produce good audio quality from my side. I was planning on getting astro a40s (they look cool and people generally agree they are a great headset to use) but those have been out for a couple years, anyone know any GOOD latest headset? something reputable that will give me great audio on my end, ive been told i might have a to get a 'splitter' and it produces better audio by one cable, im going to be using a headset on the xbox one so getting astro's might not work unless i get an adapter and a splitter (no idea how thats going to work). Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advanced.

I think the astro headset is really good for recording and playing.
