Have you ever seen a metallic green bee?

The last couple of weeks I have witnessed a flying insect with a metallic green head and black and yellow stripes on it's body. I have never seen anything like it before. I thought it was a green hornet of some type. It likes to gather pollen and it's arms are full of it. What a curious thing. So today I looked it up, and come to find out it is not a hornet but a bee! Yippee. I like bees. I hate hornets and wasps.
