i have heard many rumours of Halo 3 becoming FREE next month for XBL gold members , similar to Acreed 2 & Fable 3 . Can anyone confirm ?

I picked up the Halo ODST game at Game stop because it comes with a second disc for all maps and DLC you need to play match making on Halo 3 it was only $6.00.

It was confirmed that it was part of the "Free games for Gold" program, but the release date wasn't released.
