GS question?

Does getting GS for a game on the 360 unlock it for the X1 as well when you play it on the X1? When I played Destiny first on my 360 I unlocked a few achievements, and then when I went to play it on the X1 it unlocked them automatically. So my question is, does this work for games that are on the 360 and the X1?

Yea,I played BF4 on the 360(Multiplayer)and when I went on the Xbox One and automatically unlocked them
