I'm not trying to join a group just to have words under my name, or a different colored username. that's elementary and anyone applying to a group because of the "nice design" is missing the whole point. I'm not going to change myself in the least to able to join your group, if you don't like me, so be it.
I'm trying to apply for a group to be active in the group, to proudly represent myself as making a difference in the community. I'm expecting to make new friends in the process. I'm wanting to join a group, well-known or not, that is fairly recognizable as having users deemed trustworthy and knowledgeable. And finally, I'd like to acknowledge all group owners for taking the time to allow members into their group, when they could just use it as a pointless "personal" group.
