The service is called Google+, not Google plus one. To +1 a link is to "Like" it on Google+.

The site URL, plus.google.com clearly says Google+, not Google+1. To +1 a site is pretty much the same thing as liking something on Facebook.

Its helps grow page rank and make fk show up more towards the top for my keywords. Google plus is one of the only ways to grow page rank on google anymore. Its by far the most efficient.
