I thinks it's because this is a quicker giveaway. I would do yours and probably will, but the number of posts needed is a drastically high amount.
Still though, your giveaway is probably one of the best if not thee best on FK.

It was only double, people browse and don't post. It's very hard to type something over 25 characters.

If yours wasn't an award giveaway, that may be another reason but still, it's a giveaway :/ :p.

Edit: I seen. It was an award giveaway too. I wonder why it died out?

I hope we can just somehow have a spike of traffic come into the site.
That way we can have new people signing up and hopefully they stay active.

Traffic will come in due time, they're a lot of newer guests incoming. Just be patient and more members will eventually sign up.
 
I hate these giveaways. It gives post boosters a free go. I mean profanity not calling him out as a post booster but he did end up getting well over 40 posts on one thread in a day. Haven't counted leaders but it is near the same.

I kind of agree with you, but if it promotes activity so be it.
