I swear my house is "haunted". I wouldn't consider this a bad thing because I am certain the spirit is not even. I am almost positive it is my grandfather that passed away in '06. He is the only family member that has passed away in my family. I wasn't very close with him although I do miss him. I was about 8 when he passed so I do not remember him that well. The memories I do remember were lovely.
Anyways, about two days ago I was just sitting here watching Netflix and playing Co
Ghosts (Lmfao coincidence? 
). The sound of my show was turned on quietly and my game sound was off. Both of my parents are watching TV two stories down in the basement, and my sisters are both long asleep.
I heard something tapping so I got up and checked around then maybe thought it was a pipe. I wasn't scared/freaked out because I didn't believe in ghosts then.
Last night I went to sleep early and heard nothing.
Tonight, more like 45 minutes ago, I heard the tapping again. This time it was more so a knocking. Over the 16 years I have lived in my house I have learned the footsteps and knocks of each family member so I know who is up late at night and what not. The weird thing was this knock was different. My dad and my sister both have a slow, deep knock and my little sister high a quick 3-burst, rapid knock followed by a, "Mac, let me in!" On the other hand, my mom is different. She jiggles the handle (I guess to see if it is locked, which it typically is), then she knocks rapidly until I open.
The knock I heard tonight, was WEIRD. It started with a slow jiggle/twist of the door knob and it slowly got quicker. This is what made me pause my show and set my controller down. I got up assuring someone was there but there was no answer. I opened the door and turned on the hall lights to find nobody. I went into my sisters' rooms and they were both sounds asleep. I then checked the basement and my parents were clueless and watching TV.
I remained calm and didn't think much of it. I then went back to playing MW3 and watching Netflix. About 5 minutes later, I heard the same jiggle/twist of the knob but it was followed by a soft bang/hard knock. Almost as if a person was knocking softly with there fist. I once again did my check and all was fine. Even my dog was in the basement sound asleep.
This is when is got weird. I went back to my room and starting acting more frantic. I kept my volume very low and I waited for the knock. Sure enough, about 10 minutes later I heard the same noises. I remained seated and decided to ignore it. THE CREEPIEST PART HAPPENED. The knocking grew louder as if the person outside the door was getting angry. I opened the door and turned on all the lights. At this point I was absolutely freaking out. I turned off the lights and closed my door from the outside. I went downstairs to the living roomed and acted like I was watching TV. I fucking kid you not, I HEAR THE SAME DAGGON NOISES! I quickly ran up the stairs and picked the lock to open it. The time is current and I have left all of the lights on and left my door open. Whatever spirit was trying to get in, sure as hell got in! I am not THAT scared because I believe the spirit inside my house is not evil and will cause me nor my family any harm.
I will update this post with any news that occurs. I am remaining calm but I am moving if anything else happens.
