What is JavaScript?[/u]]
JavaScript is a object-oriented programming language that I personally think of as a "plugin" to HTML/xHTML. It is used mostly to make your website more "interactive" with features such as "prompts", which is a new window that "pops up" in your internet browser window. It is imbedded in web pages and read by the browser.

Is Java & JavaScript the same?[/u]]
NO!
Java and JavaScript are two completely different languages in both concept and design! Java (developed by Sun Microsystems) is a powerful and much more complex programming language - in the same category as C and C++.

What do I need to know before learning JavaScript?[/u]]
Basic understanding of HTML/xHTML

Where can I learn it?[/u]]
Numerous websites and youtube channels teach JavaScript.
I personally would suggest:
TheNewBoston
W3Schools

What IDE's do you suggest for JavaScript?[/u]]
There are many IDE's, so I want approach them all.
Here is a few:
Aptana
JavaScript Editor
NetBeans IDE

I would learn Java before C++.
I was considering to learn C++ but I learned Java first.

I am still in the learning stage of JavaScript but I promise, if it's so easy.
Like if you know HTML then this shouldn't be that difficult.

Its between C++,PHP,or HTML/Javascript

C++ to make more powerful programs
PHP- i dont really know much about it but i konw alot of people need it and not alot of people know it
HTML/Javascript- to make websites basically
