Gay marriage is now legal in all 50 states.​
The supreme court decision was 5 to 4 therefore declaring gay marriage officially legal in all 50 states.​

This was what Obama had to say about the recent decision.​

I don't care about it that much, it was legal in my country for a huge time ago,
if your gay or whatever, you should have the right to marriage.
 
Fact of the matter is that it's none of my business what YOU do so long as you don't infringe upon my rights and liberty as an American.

Likewise, it's none of your business either.

That said, yeah - I don't want to see gay men or women making out in public as I personally believe it to be wrong, and possibly damaging to the impressionable minds of children.

But it's not like bitching about it will change anything.

So straight couples making out in public aren't damaging to kids as well? Any type of sexuality subjected to children will damage them. Children have no concept of the taboo that is being gay or lesbian, so simply put, any type of couple making out would be damaging, there's no difference to them, unless they're taught that there is.

Anyways I'm happy that I can marry anywhere I want now.

Straight couples being affectionate in front of children are not a problem as it is natural for a man and a woman to be together. Two daddies or two mommies is NOT natural, by definition. Children of straight parents tends to have an understanding that there is a mommy, and there is a daddy. Anything contrary to that is damaging.

This should not be news, seeing as same-sex marriage should have never been prohibited. How can any of us have the audacity to tell someone who they can or cannot marry. Marriage is not about sex, it is about love. Do not view this as a step forward.

Like @Jason said this isn't a step forward. This should've happened long ago, and society needs to accept that. I don't see why people should be restricted to marry the opposing sex. If you love someone, you shouldn't be shamed for it.

Nobody has been shaming anyone for loving anyone, they just don't want to marry two members of the same sex, and that is as much their right to say no as it is your right to be with that person.

Folks remember one thing. There will always be people out there who do not accept your views or actions. They don't have to accept them, they don't need to respect them, and they don't need to tolerate them. This is one of the most amazing things about living in the United States :)
