hey guys, when they do the Gamertag Reset, what accounts do they reset? thanks

like how long does the account have to be inactive for?

The v1 tags. Not sure but a while tags like tx are going to be reset. If you see an acc with an xbox gamer picture, has live, and it says offline(due to the activity) its most likely a v1. That answer your questions?:p

it has to be inactive for 7 years before it will get reset, one way to tell on certain tags how long theyve been inactive is to go to bungie.net, go to halo 2 type the tag and if it shows up, go to matchmaking history, and see what the last day it played was...

like i have the gt s e i z e
http://www.bungie.net/stats/PlayerStatsHalo2.aspx?player=seize&sg=3
its been inactive since 4.28.05 so mine will get reset sometime this year :D
it doesnt work on every tag because not everyone played halo 2 but if your lucky they did.....

a v1 tag is an original xbox gamertag

We use the same method for viable resets. However the day they purge the servers is undetermined as some tags were technically meant to reset 2 years ago. Sobitbis a very slow process.

I'm not a big xBox person, but are you saying that Microsoft resets all the gamer tags?

ms will eventually reset all of the original xbox gamertags

So when an account goes 7 years without being used, will I be able to take it? Cause I saw a nAme earlier and it hasn't been used since April 25, 2005. So on that day can I get that name?

if you have the spaced version of the account

like the gt j ab will reserve the gt Jab when it gets reset

So u can't do the gt Kill but u would do it like this K ill?

yes you would need the spaced version of the tag to reserve the original version

No? You only need the spaced version to RESERVE the tag for you. Without the spaced version it just becomes available for everyone, you have to be the first to get it.

Also, they will not reset it on exactly 7 years, that is just an estimate.

okay, so say i have the spaced out version, none can take it except me? and also does it need to be spaced out like t his or like t h i s ?
