.com will bring back the old people like people are saying however it doesn't matter if the .com's the main domain or not. I recommend keeping it as a .net domain yet making people aware of the alternative possibilities just incase if there's a similar situation like this in the future.

I Personally Think .net is better so it's a network and .com is company so I think This is a gaming community and sounds better.
