FNC?

So some people tell me you may get lucky and get an fnc or you will get a default tag... What is the truth?? Has anyone swapped to a main recently???

My friend tried to get FNCd and get a free nam change and he got a random tag. I know someone else that got FNC and got a free name change. On xbox.com it says that Xbox will start giving random gamertags to FNCd accounts
