I just played paintball for the first time today. 3 games. I gotta say, people exaggerate how much it hurts when a paintball hits you. The first game was some kinda Attack and Defend game. It was really unbalanced, and the defenders got murdered. It was my first game, and I was the first one out (I was a attacker). Our second game is was something called Medic. Its basically a game of Team Deathmatch. I got shot twice, both times I got back up by the medic. First time was 5 seconds after the game started. I didn't even hear the referee yell START, and almost right away, I 10s of paintballs slamming against me. Second time, me and 2 other guys were holding out in this corner, and suddenly, an enemy runs over and unloads paintballs on us. He got 2 of us. I decided to play a little revenge, and snuck around to the tower placed at the enemy's side. I hesitated when I got behind the tower and saw two guys. One of them had a auto gun, and I swear, the unloaded about 30 bullets on me, but none actually struck, and I got out alive. Third game was just basic teamdeathmatch. Nothing interesting happened then.
It was really enjoyable, and I am getting some gear for myself. I was renting gear. I used a Tipmann Custom 98. It gets about 275 FPS. The iron sights sucked, and most of my shots worked off of pure luck. I don't think I hit anyone.
