Hello everyone!
I just finished the Halo 5: Guardians Campaign and feel as if it would be good to share my opinions on it for those who are debating on whether you should get it or not.
So, the overall experience was great. Weapons felt good, ADS didn't impact combat at all besides adding extra accuracy and the general storyline was gripping and definitely had me glued to the TV. I liked the idea of playing as Spartan Locke in Team Osiris and being the one and only Master Chief in Blue Team. There was something that I didn't necessarily like about this though and that was the fact that I felt that Master Chief the main character didn't really have enough playtime and instead it felt as if Spartan Locke was the main character for this title. Both Teams and main characters were amazing though and you get to learn more about them as you progress through the game.
During each mission there are small pieces of intel which can be retrieved, I found the pieces I found to be very interesting and bring a whole new side-story to the game. This was yet again another feature I liked.
If there's anything I wasn't happy about it was the overall length of the Campaign. Although there are 14 missions in total, each one seems to fly by and two of the missions are literally just speaking to characters at basecamp. NOT ENJOYABLE.
One final thing is the inclusion of Spartan Charge and Ground Pounding, both didn't really make too big of an impact towards the Campaign however they can be super fun to use when you see a huge crowd of Grunts and you want to ruin their day. Speaking of Covenant, they have some pretty funny dialogue throughout every battle you face with them so watch out for it.
Hopefully this thread wasn't just me blabbing and actually helps people decide on this game. If I were an IGN scrub I'd give it a 9.5/10.
Hey uh, you should probably stop debating and buy it.
Oh and feel free to ask me about anything I missed as long as it isn't Multiplayer related. This is supposed to be a Campaign review kinda thing.
