this might be the wrong forum to post this on but im curious on what the community of forum korner think of fashion and having a sense of style

do you think it is necessary to dress nice, if so, why?

i personally think dressing nice and having a good sense of style is important because your clothes are what a person sees first and if you dress like a bum then that might be off putting and lead less people to not want to interact with you, but those are just from past experiences my friends have had.

we out here in new york lookin' fine

Yes, I believe people should dress nice, so they won't look dirty, because most people judge you on your appearance and etc, I always try to look fresh.

Yes I think it is important to dress nice, even when I am chilling at home doing nothing, I can't look like a slob. You don't want to look like a complete idiot in public.

I am looking into street wear right now, I want to diversify how I dress.

I agree its better to take pride in your appearance, I go out quite a lot with friends at the weekend to clubs and bars etc as most UK Teens do lol and you've got to look nice to get into clubs anyway so its kind of engraved in me but I always do dress nice. You never know who you'll' bump into when your out and about too, first impressions are everything

yes it's very very important
also i don't fuck w/ people that try and look like their favorite rapper/wear full on Bape/Supreme shit. those are posers who don't have their own style
you might have the most expensive clothes but you still look like shit if you don't know how to wear them

I'm looking to getting into DIY things/ making my own stuff in the future

but yeah at least be fashionably conscious

im working on a patchwork denim jacket right now, im really into buying and making homemade clothes.

well all i wear are trench coats and combat boots so i say yes.

I mostly buy Italian designer clothes. I like crazy prints and designs. Cavalli is a brand I really like. For more casual wear I usually go with Armani, Diesel or even Zara. It's important to have your own sense of style and look presentable imo, even in the most trivial occasions. Even if I just need to go to the bakery to pick up a bread I'll spend a lot of time making sure my hair is good and picking a nice outfit.
It's not at all uncommon that I see people looking like they just got right out of bed snd straight to the store.

I wear lots of cargo shorts/denim jeans.
I mainly wear nike/jordan shoes.
My favorite tops would be Ralph Lauren, Diamond, & AE.

a lot of people where im from think that you have to have jordans, tru religion, raplh lauren, MK belts, gucci belts, or LV to have style which is completely wrong
they wear all this expensive shit and they look like shit
dont get me wrong i do own a LV belt and a few pairs of joradans but thats not all i wear
you can spend 60$ on an outfit and still look good if you really  have style.

ya how else do u expect to get the bitches?
i mean for me it just happens naturally cus im alpha as fuck.

but for u pansy ass bastards u need to look rich as shit to get some.
especially u koile.

Yeah, I am into streetwear, and I used to be a really big sneakerhead. I've also started to take interest in more a more formal style, and designer clothes. But, still, I love browsing r/streetwear and other forums. Currently in the market for some Rafs and a Hermes belt.

I personally feel like clothing is a huge part of my life. I am into Bape, Supreme and other urban streetwear brands (some less known than the general hypebeast stuff) and I feel like as you said, dressing nice is important as the first thing someone sees is what you wear. Clothing can reflect anything and everything, from your attitude, to even how you feel about society and how you fit in. I genuinely like to dress in Bape and other brands such as Supreme, Stussy, Pyrex etc. because I like the way it looks. I am very into colours and how they work well and accent each other so please don't say I am one of the FK kids who started wearing urban streetwear stuff because you did and that I don't know how to dress myself.
