Hey guys,
Alright so I have two extenal hard drives.
One Western Digital HDD 1TB, and one SeaGate 1.5TB HDD.

They both have around 200GB each filled up of files and movies and other stuff (No porn, I keep that on my actual computer =)

But yea. When I plug them in to my desktop, running Windows 7 64 bit. I can transfer files to and from the HDD's.
When I plug them into one of my laptops, I can transfer files to and from the HDD's just like on the desktop. No issues.
Same as in my Macbook, no errors or anything.

BUT. Then comes my Laptop, running Windows 7 64 bit.
I can't transfer ANYTHING to or from my external HDD on this laptop.
Because I get this error.

I know it's a laptop setting, and I have done research on Google for the longest time in the world.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks so much!

Yea I checked lots of support forums and no one knows what to do.
Apparently it's a rare error. But it's definatly something to do with the PC, and not the harddrive.

The developers of the External Hard Drives? (Western Digital and SeaGate?) No, I haven't as I thought it was 100% a computer setting that was blocking the file transfer as it works fine on all other computers.
I will give it a shot tomorrow or in the next couple days, I'm sure they've gotten calls with similar if not the same error.

They most likely have, if it's working on other computers, I'm sure you can reformat an external hard drive.

I guess I can copy all the files onto the desktop, then plug it in to my laptop, reformat it and it should work fine.
I'll give it a shot in a couple hours when I have access to my desktop and will fill you in on the results. :)

Just an update...I managed to fix it.
How?
I started to simply screw around with it. :)P)
I went to format. Then a little thing popped up that said "Disk Format: NFTS or ExFAP". I was set at NFTS. I changed it to ExFAP and clicked save. Worked. :D

Thanks for all the suggestions!
