Description:
If you're smart, this group is for you. If you are not, my apologies for your misfortune. I don't care about who you are, I only care about your ability to think.

This group will offer a hierarchy system. The smarter you are/the more debates that you win, the higher up in the hierarchy you will get.

I will host many different types of debates, covering a spectrum of topics. I will decide winners in most cases, unless it's too damn obvious. I will not tolerate logical fallacies.

I'm tired of idiots. I want members to be able to talk to intelligent individuals. I want to read groundbreaking discussions. I want the members of this forum to gain and obtain knowledge.

How to Join:
You can post below an essay, poem, or write something random. Basically anything that shows me your ability to think. I will read whatever you post, and make a decision to let you in or not. Otherwise, I may randomly come across you and invite you to join, but that may take significant time. If I know of your ability to think already, private message me to join. Depending on your application or previous stature, you may jump 1 or 2 ranks.

What I Expect Of You:
I expect you to read all rules and important threads. This will be an organized group. I do not appreciate those who could be so careless.

Please, I welcome you to join. This will be an interesting and enjoyable group, one separated from those who are ignorant.

I was pondering the use of a faction's name for VELOCITY. I'm glad you did.

Good luck to all of those whom choose to apply and I wish you the best of luck with your more-than-promising group.

This group looks to be very cool, and will be very exclusive due to the lack of intelligence here on site. Granted, there are plenty of users that are intelligent but too few of them show it and others simply are not intelligent.

This isn't really an application, but I believe I am intelligent in certain areas and aspects and I'm always open to learning more. This group would be a cool one to be in. If you deem me intelligent enough to join, I'd like to join. Thanks! Glad to see more groups popping up that have purposes and will actually be used for more than the Userbar.

I may apply for this group later, I'm just not sure a group with this type of theme can thrive on this forum.

Good Luck!

I would be very much interested in this group, but if we do happen to join will we be expected to write professional all the time?

I don't expect anything of you outside of the subforum. @cred

Nice to see this finally come to fruition. Not gojng to apply but good luck and well wishes to you.

Any proportion. I don't need much to make a decision.

I will get back to you once home, I'm currently in school.

If you deem me not a dumbass invite me I would like to join. I do enjoy giving my opinion on what's happening in the world from time to time.

One of my quotes, wrote this in freshmen year:
"If the reader can understand more than what was intended by the author upon writing, only then have both parties have fulfilled their roles."

Short paragraph on how intelligent children can be raised.

How are intelligent children born? Similarly to how we came to the domestic dog from wolves, from breeding the calmest wolves over and over, a pair of highly devoted parents will more than likely have a highly devoted child. Simple biology shows that there are recessive and dominant traits, the drive for a work ethic and success is genetic as scientists have proven through prior experiments. This work ethic kicks in at the age of 25, where our brains have gone through both stages of growth and are now using judgement based on prior experiences. The upbringing of the child also has an impact as to if they are using and "activating" that gene and working on that trait. Outside forces such as motivation and encouragement allow the opportunity for the child to excel. Resources such as tutors, books, and early starts to education all have an effect. Children who attend higher rated schools score higher on the IQ test. Intelligent parents will more than likely have intelligent children if the parenting is right and all steps are moderated throughout the process of growth. To many limitations and the child will become rebellious and will discard care to meet the standards of his/her parents. Experiments have shown that a reward based system is best for parenting and getting your child to be content and to follow directions. Children who were raised off of a reward based system are more obedient and are more outgoing later on in life which helps make connections and get into higher schools. Intelligent children can be raised in many ways, a prime example would be "If you hand a kid 20 Lego's and tell him to build something different every day it will teach him to work around the system and work around limitations and explore all possibilities" as a college professor from MIT states. Children are children but there are ways to "sharpen" your child into your prime image for them and raise up an intelligent child.

I feel like his post was googled... LMAO @krish

Intellectual group? What defines ones intellectuality? One may be street smart but rather book stupid, one might be a genius behind a computer but hopeless infront of humanity. I'm not sure really what you define as intelligent/intellectual but I find that to be a rather broad topic, I've always believed that, everyone shines in their own subject, their own field. I completely fail at grammar, I hate math, but put me infront of a piece of paper and I can write you a story unlike any other, yes I'm a writer but not something I do as a passion more as a hobby. Anyways that's my opinion on that I suppose.

@envy nice group and good luck

This was a topic that was discussed in my biology class last year. I'm taking AP Psychology next year as I'm interested in the study of the brain. I see where you are coming from though.
