We had 3 hours of downtime today, because someone was DDoSing the website.

But we're back now

I guess so. Lots of people do it because they think that DDoSing a site with a paid Booter is making you an automatic hax0r.

Someone DDoSing the site means they're jelly of the member/post/thread/whatever-count, so that's good

That's definitely good! We're getting bigger every day. Might want to protect us from DDoSing though, if they're so mads.

Well it isn't nice that we had some downtime but as said above it is a good sign! But maybe if the forum gets bigger it is a good idea to get a host with an anti DDoS script?

I would be very confident that they meant that it's good to have the forums back online, not good that we got DDoSed.
