Do you think Dubstep is becoming a huge problem?

It's quite ok, people are asking me to dj prom, hahahahaha, can't wait to play some dubstep, and they will be like, "wtf is this, a trip to the dentist?" I will say, "no it's called dubstep, lrn2hiresomeonebesidesmetodjprom".

Do it, they'll be so mad.

I really don't understand whether you're for or against it. Your video would suggest for Dubstep, your posts with my earlier would suggest against it, and your current posting would suggest for. Mind clarifying this for me?

and Deadmau5 is one of my favorites, didn't think he was dubstep.

I don't think dubstep is a problem no, I believe certain people listening to what they call "dubstep" are ruining it for the people who actually do, and are expanding the genre into something they have no idea.

DeadMau5 is Electro/House, he doesn't play Dubstep, that was the point I was trying to make.

Although he has been feature in some Dubstep tracks in the past.
He also signed Skrillex to his label.

He mostly makes Electro/House anymore though.

He is very good and Ellie is right he is more of an Elcetro/House. Don't have many of his songs/mixs though.

I mean, don't get me wrong, he could probably make some mean dub, but I prefer him to keep doing what he does best.

Agreed, but I find that when a musician starts to go off what they are use to the fail. Ex. Kid Cudi and Wiz Khalifa.

Wtf? I don't understand what you just said.

I'm saying if he was to start making Dubstep style music he wouldn't be as high quality and good. The examples I brought up were two artists who use to sing rap but have moved onto rock/hip hop and have now started to do a terrible job.

Oh, like Lil Wayne, lol, he started Prom Queen and shit and just became the most shittiest shit I've ever FUCKING heard.

Please read before commenting on something I say.

And Ellie I just think Wayne was bad to begin with.

Not sure if this is the right thread but since it relates to the start. Cudi's Man on the Moon 2 genre: "Alternative hip hop, neo-psychedelia, alternative rock".

And if you listen to Wiz Khalifa's rolling papers genre: "Hip hop". Everything in quotes is from wikipedia.

I love that Skrillex remix though, my friend showed it to me the other day.

Wikipedia classes ADTR as Pop, so they MUST be right.
Ahahahahahaha, no.

*in a typical british accent*
and indeed, it is quite the filthy track.

@"Crysis" not trying to be rude but I think I know a bit more about Wiz and Cudi. I don't think you've even listened to the albums or you'd pick that up. For Wiz he clearly was't use to it and you could tell he was out of it. For Cudi he didn't do a bad job but it was nothing compared to Man on the Moon 1.

Ink ink my whole body I don't give a mother fuck, Roll up this Material on This Plane, Stack Money Super High.

On topic; I'm on my level, yeah.

On topic: That has nothing to do with the current situation with Dubstep.

If it's not on topic stop discussing it. Being the OP your just inviting me to discuss when you yourself do.

Regarding Wiz: Ink my whole body came out before the songs on rolling papers.
