Do you generally join if your close friend recommends?

No...I don't join even if it is recommended by a close friend.
I always checked the link first and see if i am interested or not.
Besides,I always had in mind that my friend will understand if ever I don't want to join the site that he/she recommends...I just hope my friend really understands.
