Is it fair for Staff to hand you a warning when you've flamed them in Private Message, thoughts please?

Personally I think that's crap, flaming in public yeah I can agree with.

Well flaming in a private message you shouldn't even get a warning for that.... I could see if it is on a post/thread I would understand but pm I don't think they should have a right to do so. Ex.) You get into a argument with someone in a thread they tell you to take if up with one another in a private message, same should be for here.

Abusive has many definitions, as well as many reasons why / why not it's happened. Although I don't promote warnings for wrong reasons such as this one, you could always look at it from his standpoint and see how you aggravated him. There's always a way to approach something, and I guess he felt the way you approached him was rude and subsequently he used his staff powers to do something to you that he personally felt was justified, not saying that it is justified just looking at it from the staff members point of view with the information that has been shown on the thread.
