For my lab last week I needed to design a circuit that would have 3 inputs and 4 outputs. Its job would be to convert the numbers 0 through 6 to the 7 digits in my student id. Also, the number 7 (input) is converted into the number 9.

So after drawing up a truth table and doing 8 karnaugh maps I came up with this:

I am not exactly sure what you are referring to, but some of the numbers next to parts don't mean anything. They are simply there to label them. For example I place down a part, it gets a 1 next to it. I place down an identical part, it gets a 2. I had many things on it and I deleted some of them. The numbers don't have any real significance.
