DECEPTION.
A neighborhood isn't what it appears to be.
RUN-DOWN
So, I live in an above average neighborhood; nothing special. If you were to visit my neighborhood, you'd think something along the lines of: "Oh, this would be a nice place to live". We thought the same thing when we moved here, but the night activity proves otherwise.
For the THIRD time in about a three to four week period, +10 police cruisers (comprising of armed officers and K-9 units) have been on my street, in front of my house (in the middle of the night).
EVENT NO. 1
Around two o'clock in the morning, a supposed drug dealer on the run, ran through/around the yards/houses on my block. Police officers, as they came, would slam on their brakes, jump (not literally) out of their cruisers (that would idle for a few feet), draw their guns, and run off somewhere behind my house. This event lasted for around three hours.
EVENT NO. 2
This event was the worst. About six days ago, at three o'clock in the morning, I woke up to an extremely loud crashing sound. A drunk driver, in a high-speed, hit-and-run chase, crashed into a telephone pole on the corner in front of my house. I looked out my window to see telephone wires down, a car flipped over in my neighbors' front yard, and the driver getting out of the car to stumble off through the neighborhood. Officers arrived seconds later (due to the chase) doing the same that they had done last time. This time though, I counted roughly seventeen police cruisers and they had three K-9 units. The total event lasted around six hours (to find the driver and repair the telephone pole).
EVENT NO. 3
As I am typing this, at two o'clock in the morning, there are (currently) nine police cruisers right in front of my house armed with shotguns and assault rifles. I peered further down my street to see another three cruisers a few houses down. I watched the event for a few minutes before I came upstairs to type this. From what I've gathered so far, there is one man currently handcuffed in the back of one cruiser, but I can tell that they're still looking for more people. I have no idea what is going on yet, but I'll update this once I find out.
WRAP-UP
I live in a nice neighborhood that seems to comprise of a lot of criminal activity.
Please inform me of any grammar and/or spelling errors.
I decided to make a nice, high-quality thread for my 750th post.
