I am reading the excellent, if dry, book Data and Reality. One of the quotes from the book that I really like can be paraphrased as
Create and Destroy, when applied to an information system, really instruct the system to Perceive and Forget the information.
I really like this concept. To some degree we don’t create information, we merely store it for others to use in convenient formats. When I read this it reminds me of the post by Udi Dahan on not creating aggregate roots. There is some part of me, that just finds this quote appealing, and helps to frame my mind into the bigger picture of the systems I work on.
Happy Sunday
