Concealed Firearms

In many states in the US, any 21 year old American citizen with no felonies is allowed to take classes for a concealed firearms permit. This has caused much debate by people and the government, whether or not it should be legal to carry a firearm in public.

I personally believe an American citizen that meets the above mentioned requirements should be allowed to legally carry a concealed weapon in public. I personally feel alot safer when I go out with my family and I know my dad has the capability to protect my family and I, god forbid it should come to it. I know when I turn 21 I plan on getting my concealed weapons permit and I do not see a problem with it.

Your thoughts?

And please forgive any spelling errors I'm typing this from my phone.

Of course! In America we're giving the right to bear arms. Not allowing this would take away our constitutional rights. Besides, if I see a deer on the road, I'm gonna take out my 22 and shoot the sucker :D.

You need a license to own a gun in most states.

Well he's saying you need a permit, basically same thing right? And a license makes sense, I mean you don't want random guns popping up, even though I could take care of them :cool2:.

Thanks for the laugh. xD

I'm in canada so Yea
I would say no You shouldn't be able to carry firearms in public
Lets say you see a person with a knife or w.e You cant even shoot them
By law you can only use Equal or less force

If I have a gun and shooting at you Then you can shoot me but Yea when does that happen

+ police would shoot people by just having one or flashing one or what not

In my mind there is really no point in carrying a weapon any where
Unless your hunting

If I legally own a gun and somebody breaks into my house with a knife, I have full rights to shoot him. I don't know where you heard that or if it's a law for certain states but certainly not where I live.

And part of your permit class is knowing what to do with you weapon when a officer of the law is present.

Go look up your state law's Please show me where it says you can shoot the guy if he has a knife

And yes people are taught what to do when a police officer is present but Not all people remember them

There is no reason why a person should be carrying a gun around on the streets

I agree every house should have a shotgun to protect the home
I agree every person should be allowed to have semi automatic rifles and shot guns to hunt

I don't agree with Concealed guns
I don't agree with automatic weapons

i dont see why the hell we would want everyone to have the ability to carry a gun anywhere they want.. thats just idiotic..

My brother owns an ak47 for fun, but it does make me feel safer, even if we do live in a rich white suburb

@[hypershadow]
Yea the only reason I could see people owning automatic's is just for fun shooting at the range

But still America has so many bank robberies because people own automatic's
People wouldn't think of robbing one with a handgun only

Wow, im australian and i dont think your allowed unless your like hunting and have a permit lol

In Florida law a knife is considered a deadly weapon

And if a Person forgets what to do when a officer is present that's their own fault they are responsible to be familiar with the rules and regulations

I agree. This country was born by a gun, it should die by it as-well.

Why not live without one instead why does it have to die?

Like if america had the same gun rules as canada Crime rate would go down in the first year alone

Why live without one? So people can go around stabbing each other instead? No.

A gun is used for protection. I have my second amendment, if my country goes to chaos, then I'll be ready. If we're invaded by another country, then the country would be ready. All I have to say is, fuck gun control.

Why do you need protection going to the supermarket Or to public places?
Like honestly only paranoid people carry in public You don't need a gun to protect your self
But if you do then Idk =/

I could see having a house gun Shot gun etc For house protection
And having a Hunting rifle for hunting

Why do you need to hide a handgun in public any way?

In canada you almost have to be a RCMP or a money runner to get a permit
And Thats how it should be really

Our crime rate VS american crime rate
It speaks for it self

If America changed it's gun laws it wouldnt do a dam thing. There is no possible way the government could collect every weapon, and bad people will still find ways to find guns. I don't think you realize most crimes are done by Felons with unregistered guns. Very rarely do good americans with concealed weapons permits do crimes with said weapons.

Bad people are going to have guns no matter what the government tries to do, so you might as well let the good people have them.

And to the other post you made ya crime is pretty bad in some areas because of the bad economy and so many foreigners that have problem finding jobs so they resort to crime. Carrying a weapon has more than once saved people's life's and has protected me and my family twice.
