Well mostly I want it to be able to run coding programs, since Im going into computer sciences when I enter university. And I want it to mainly be able to run CSGO and LoL. I have no preference in size nor scheme since I'm a scrub at computer hardware related stuff.Eevee said:What do you want to do on the PC?
What games do you want to play (when you do play them)?
Preference on size of the PC?
Preference on colour scheme?

Here's a Mini-ITX sized build which is Black and Blue (with hint of white) colour scheme. Went for Mini-itx because you're moving it to Uni and i'm sure you don't want to lug around a huge lump of PC.
Now, I went for the Xeon processor and a H97 chipsetbecause you are coding and it's $100 cheaper than an i7. Yet it basically IS an i7 just without integrated graphics and without the ability to overclock. It's a quad-core CPU with hyperthreading. You COULD change it up and go for an i5 and a Z97 chipset if you want to overclock.

Whatchu think @kowai?
Kowai said:Pretty swag. But whatchu think bout a r9 285 vs 960?
Eevee said:Didn't look at them because most of them are $40 more.
and he's only playing LoL and CS-GO... chose the 960 for quietness and power consumpton
Kowai said:Alright, true. If it was another situation I'd go with the 285.
Eevee said:Yus me too, just for his use.. that build is perfect to be honest
Yay, wanted second opinion on the Xeon ;oKowai said:Pretty good then, nice job Eevee!
Thanks a ton, I'll be looking into the specific parts and how to build a PC. I think this suits me very well, thanks. Is there any specific monitors you reccomend? Or can I just use any type, like the one on my current PC which we bought the monitor separately.Eevee said:@Level
