I recently stripped an 800 card off of one of my accounts, and in the email with the new 800 code in it they said that the points will expire 1 year after I put them on my account. I'm just wondering, does this happen with all MSP or just this one since I stripped it off of my account?

I never thought/knew they expired...

Anyways, your answer would more than likely be on the back of a MSP card in that fine print somewhere.
I think it would apply to all MSP if you got an email saying that, but I may be wrong.

no its just because it was stripped. Regular codes don't do that either.

I dont think they expire ive gone a while without using a 1600 but not sure it might have changed.

The ones you buy in the store never expire. If you get MSP from XBL Rewards or some other method, some of them do have expiration dates.
