Any sort of turboer to my knowledge is banned. A turboer would be a program that attempts to, or succeeds in claiming a Gamertag, SM, etc. The Checker isn't a turboer however, it only checks for the availability of SMs, it doesn't try to claim them.

That would make sense but I guess only gamertags turbos are aloud that's insanely dumb since they both can steal usernames.

Gamertag turboers aren't allowed. In fact, they're the reason any sort of turboer is banned on this site. Checkers are allowed.
