Similar to the stun/alch method. go to guards next to Varrock bank.

Put on autocast for Fire Strike (lvl 13 mage) and have a bunch of mind/air runes with you along with alches. (air runes/ mind runes are very cheap so this is an alternative to stun, but less xp obviously)

Alching 1k alches takes about an hour so alching = 65k xp per hour.

Using fire strike at the varrock gaurds buts an extra 10-38 exp per alch (average 22), so now instead of 65-k xp you will receive anywhere from 90-100k xp per hour.

I thought this was a cool little boost to get near 100k xp an hour mark for mage.

Timing is everything, timing it right will make your exp counter count exp every second.

I'm doing it with Chaos runes and air runes. (fire bolt). I get an extra 30-75 xp per alch so i get 80-130k xp per hour for an extra 50k/ 1k alches. I can live with that.

I sorta get what you're saying. But where are you when you fight guards? Can they fight back or is it a safespot which needs food? Also many people alch for fast xp without gaining any hp xp.

Interesting idea though.

safespots generally don't need food to be used

Hm I don't understand, do you mean doing this by like wearing armor so it splashes and you can afk the guard? and yeah as mentioned above most people alch because it doesn't give you Hp Xp and it can earn you money too.

Yes basically, but a cheaper alternative because I use it to actually hit not splash so i can get good xp

Right now i'm doing it with fire wave at recourse dung. in edge dungeons with the moss giants because i have lots of blood runes and moss are weak to fire attacks. i'm getting 130 to near 175k an hour xp
