I was never too much of a fan of those shoutboxes, although they do have great potential they most often just become a place for spamming and trolling.

Please use the search tool before making suggestions - this suggestion has been made more than once before. The forum did have a chat box plugin, however it detracted attention from the forum leading to a decrease in growth, hence its removal.

Topic has been discussed multiple times.

We tried a shoutbox for a day, and forum activity dropped dramatically. Once we get a little bigger, we will try out it again.
