Chaotic: Longsword or Rapier?

I'm almost one with my 200k tokens and I need to know what is the best weapon:
Chaotic: Longsword or Rapier?

I heard both of them are great and we can use dragon defender with them too but I can't decide which one to buy :S I'm so confused, help me please

Well I won't box so... This option doesn't need to be judged as a + to get the rapier. I want to know what is better for hits and killing monsters, those things.

I don't have mine yet either, but I went to bandos the other day and saw tons of CLS's. They were raping Bandos. I've never seen the rapier in a boss fight though so I've got nothing to compare it to.

Longsword...

The chaotic longsword's slash and strength bonuses are high enough that it is not only the strongest longsword in the game, but is also the strongest one-handed melee weapon in the game, excluding certain Dungeoneering-only weapons. Because it is one-handed, it may be combined with an off-hand item. When used with a dragon defender, its slash accuracy surpasses that of godswords by 16 points. The chaotic longsword also has a faster attack speed than godswords by one speed classification. It is a popular weapon for killing bosses, player-vs-player combat, and training Slayer or other combat skills. Under ideal circumstances, this weapon can hit up to 890 in Castle Wars, and approximately 740 elsewhere.

It is questioned whether the rapier or the Chaotic longsword is the better weapon. The longsword is stronger and more accurate, but a rank slower. This means that against the vast majority of monsters(e.g. just about every slayer task,) the rapier will deal more damage in a set time since it still has excellent bonuses. Many players believe that the longsword is a better choice against a small assortment enemies with high defence, (bosses, etc.) Neither weapon is considered stronger seeing as both weapons are very strong and have their own benefits.

At level 85.5 you will be able to get another chaotic.

Every one knows longer is better =)
And its better for PVM and I garentee you will be doing that more then PVPing

Every 2M xp you get a chaotic also.. I spent all my previous tokens in xp so yeah.. only one chatic lvl 85 dung.

Get the long sword

Yea but would a rapier do better against Lets say bandos?
I always heard Going bandos or w.e To bring a LS

Yea depends what your fighting Weak monsters yea use the rapier but I don't think people will use a rapier on weak monsters since Its not infinite so wasting it like that I don't see people doing it

Bandos is weak to slash, and a lot of monsters are weak to stab ie; zammy boss, KBD, mith drags, frost drags, nex, corp, 80% of slayer tasks.

And you can bot enough tokens to cheaply renew your wep overnight and you'll more than likely make way more than you spend renewing it if you kill most of the above monsters

The ls also degrades, so thats irrelevant

Rapier is better for killing any type of dragon, because of the stab. So it will make your steel dragon tasks a lot easier. It will also prob kill any monsters faster seeing as it hits a lot faster than the longsword. Also IF you'd ever want to go pvping it would be very helpful.

I just went for it and got the CLS first. I figure I will be getting them both anyway so it didn't matter to much to me. And i'm pretty sure the CLS is better for bandos.

And btw 90 is your next chaotic if your at 85

And yea you will get them all eventually So don't worry =)
