Get some exercise, if you work out regularly it does help you with your sleep. Since it reduces stress and other things that could be preventing you from sleeping.

Relax yourself. You're not cool. OP, try trazodone or ambien. 300mg of traz and you'll feel like you're on a cloud. Not the stupid high weed gets you. It generally feels as if you're beyond exhausted.

Also have you ever got checked up for any type of sleeping disorders? Also your diet could be affecting it. So many variables, but if it is a long term thing that has been bugging you for a while I'd suggest going to a doctor and seeing what might be wrong. I sometimes can't sleep but it's mainly due to stress and other things, which I found if I worked out or ate well enough then that all goes away and I can sleep like a baby. Some nights I do resort to Nyquil or some sleeping medication, it's just not recommended since you could actually become addicted and rely on them to sleep and that isn't good for obvious reasons.

Examine the possibilities of underlying causes first before resorting to sleep medication.
If you're not suffering from stress or doing anything that would negatively impact your ability to sleep (example: eating or exercise close to bedtime) then you can take the next step.
Try natural sleep aids first. Melatonin is widely available and is a non-addictive sleep hormone. If you're not suffering from a severe case of insomnia this solves sleeping problems for most average people.
If that doesn't work try Nyquil or Benadryl etc.
If that also doesn't work you have the ultimate last resort, hypnotics or benzodiazepines.

I was addicted to those for a while :/ Wouldn't suggest those...

drink cough syrup, pop xans :')

Thank god this is not a problem for me. Usually I am always extremely tired by the end of the day so I fall asleep almost instantly when I want to. :) But yeah like everyone else is saying I guess you could take some type of sleeping pill to help you sleep.

Which ones were you on?
I take 30mg of Mirtazapine and 15mg of Zopiclone to sleep.
Basically been on almost everything and I've found Zopiclone (not to be confused with Zolpidem, also known as Ambien) to be most helpful.

You aren't really living if you're relying on prescriptions.
