It has nothing to do with me having a heart, feelings, or respect. I honor her choice simply because it is allowing her to take that last step to reach fulfilled happiness within her body and it is allowing her to feel comfortable with her well-being. Everyone should take that last step in an effort to achieve happiness, whether that step is as minor as losing weight or something as drastic as a surgical sex change. It is not my body, nor my life, so I am not going to flaunt pretensious hatred towards her or her choices. She is still human, as are we, and despite our views and opinions, we should rightfully accept the subtle fact we are not all the same. Individuality is important. At the end of the day, we are all humans, and it is human nature to accept choices that are not ours to make. It is unfortunate that most people are too [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]hard-headed to swallow that realization.[/font]

I'm glad to see her efforts publicized, and although she's gotten a lot of hate about it, I'm sure it was well worth it.
This is great day for Trans people, and it warms my heart to see all the news coverage about what it really means to be transgendered.
I'm not trans, but I respect those that are. I support Caitlyn 100%.
 
If someone felt like they weren't who they are, but could be, why wouldn't you support them? To look at all these comments that reduce her to a thing simply because they don't find them attractive makes my blood boil. You type of people are the reason near half the trans population has attempted suicide and the reason they face discrimination everyday for being who they really are. And until you recognize that and adjust yourself, you're scum to me. Fuck you, you pieces of shit.
 
I don't see how this bothers anyone. Gender identity disorder is a legitimate medical condition and has substantial evidence suggesting it stems from a biological defect, not some made up bullshit.
These people aren't happy in their skin so who are we to deny their right to happiness. The question here is why did she wait so long, maybe because there's still so much ignorance in the world when it comes to controversial topics like this.
Do I enjoy the sight of a transgender male? Not at all, in fact I think they look hideous but if that's what makes them happy then I respect it and move along, they're not hurting anyone.
