These aren't companies, these are 2-3 people who need some spare cash who have made these bots. No company that makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year revolves around an illegal basis.

I'm not talking about the individual bots I'm talking about the clients. And I'm pretty sure I read somewhere RSBuddy alone had reached well over a $1 Million net worth. And how do you explain things like drug cartels lol...

Drug cartels are much different. RSBuddy has reached $1M? Well I'm happy for them, but they're going to be taken down one day permenantly, if not for copyright violation, then for trademark violation with "RS".

I was just using that as a reference to an illegal business that relies on illegal methods to make money. And Jagex knows they need bots I don't really see them really pursuing any of the major bot clients like Nexus or RSBuddy. If they really wanted to they probably would have by now

Gold4RS got their domain seized because it had RS in it, RSBuddy is no exemption.
 
Oh ya I misinterpreted what you said. I wouldn't be suprised if they get a copyright law suit I thought you meant taking them down all together for making bots

At what point will you guys accept that JaGeX is a strong business with strong business plans. They manipulate but they don't pretend. Just because you've seen no action does not mean there will not be any. JaGeX will put an iron fist down on botting and they definitely have the resources to do so, so don't even try to say that this wont happen, because it will.
 
I'm sure its very possible for them to stop botting but I just don't believe they will because they are making a lot of their money from it
 
My views are bots are apart of runescape and they have been from the start, I can not see them going forever all i can see is them going for a thew weeks. You may disagree.
 
RSBuddy uses the BCEL method for their bots.

Devs have already said it won't affect rsbuddy whatsoever, we're injection not reflection and the small part that is reflection they're just converting to asm.
Also to all the people talking about the millions they claimed they banned, that's the count since the beginning of rs not at one time..

I really don't see how they could counter-act RiD...however it is far to expensive for my taste, but I have a firm belief that in less then 3 months many of the major bots will come through with new ways to macro..
 
I don't really mind tbh. Also, whoever started this whole shit saying "Runescape just wants money so they won't ban bots?" Of course any company want to make money off their product/service. But I'm pretty sure they'll strive to perfect it and make it fun.
My point is.
Botting = Less fun
Stopping bots = More players eventually/ Funner for legit players/ respect.

Yeah, I agree with this.

On the 25th, I do think most bots will stop, but I have a feeling they'll make a come back. Apart from RiD. They're awesome.
 
Nexus will just have to re-script there bots.
