You could of added a little more, and you stretched the text way to much.

It's a bit basic to be honest, but the background texture looks great!

If you have used paths for shaping up the text then I appreciate that Steven however controlling paths for text shaping is really difficult and needs a lot of practice and even after it can do your head in plus the bigger path the more chances of GIMP freezing are there.
