So are the bot busting parties cancelled?

The player organized ones are, now they do private bot busts, such as pmod and jmod only.

They are smartening up now then
Since they realize that Botters would attend the bot busts =P

So will you keep us updated every time There is a bot bust happening and where they will be?

I will try to, but you really don't need to worry, here are the places:

LRC
Sorc Garden
Range Guild
Hunt chins
Frost and Green drags
Fishing guild - rare busts.
Flesh crawlers - They are starting these.

That is it, stay away from those areas and you're pretty much ban proof unless you go around saying you bot.

haha. I have access to a player mod account and I've tried several times to attend the scheduled pmod & jmod meetings to observe and to subtly ask questions that would help the macroing community. the Jmod's haven't shown up to any of the three scheduled meetings that I tried to attend... yet they recently posted a message about being successful with pmod meetings and bot busting? Jagex is so full of shit. If they've stopped bot busting and are relying on reports + their ICU team to ban kids then the ban rate on Nexus will be virtually 0. At least the ban rate for children using powerbot will be the same, so I don't think there will be a negative effect on the economy or anything.

Main reasons why you shouldn't use PB is simple.

When you login with their client, it shows modified login, and you're flagged due to bcel client.
Scripts are public.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I'd say a majorty of botters are your average chum who stumbled across PB and feels leet. It becomes frustrating for those of us who are macro veterans when training spots on every world are full of PB idiots who are just going to get banned anyways.

Glad to hear that bot busting is done with either way. It only benefits those who know what they are doing and like I said bots probably won't run anymore rampant and have a negative effect on the economy or anything.

Well, they expected the events would be an all day event and that Jagex would always be in game banning with them, no. They should've known it was a temporary fix for Jagex, they are not going to every world and going to collect all the names, they will go bankrupt.

They got like 30k names from it, probably most are banned if that counter is not faked.

And regarding PB, don't you think Jagex, whom pays their devs hundreds of thousands of pounds each year, will expect their devs to add those PB scripts or algorithms to the flag system? If I was jagex I'd have 4 people on PB all day.

Well I mean it's not necessary to have a team dedicated to PB as PB it isn't a problem. They just need to start banning people faster. I swear, if I worked for Jagex I would have PB virtually shut down within a month. They just need to be more aggressive with their actions when it comes to bans and macro suspicion.

Reviewing your account and banning you for macroing could take a couple of weeks to a couple of months depending on how backed up the system is. The only macro ban I ever received was when I was using PB a few years ago, and that was when RSCA was still an underground invite-only community. (Which I eventually received an invite to well before it became public :tongue2:!)

I know that currently playing time has nothing to do with macro bans as I bot 24/7 and have yet to receive one *knocks on wood*. But if you log in via a modified client like PB, they should monitor your playing time. If you've played for 12 hours straight without saying a word or taking a break, your account should be instantly reviewed, or immediately banned pending further review.

You said it perfectly, the system is simply backed up. They have 5 Jmods on their ICU team, they recently removed the report Que, so now people can report for macroing even if it hasn't been 60 seconds, and jagex is so behind because people started reported a lot. They literally get macro reports every second, 5 people on the anti bot team, come on.

It's come to the point where it's so backed up they are very delayed in reviewing pmods mute reports which should be dealt with in an hour, instead it's starting to be ignored.
