Call of Duty Black Ops Server Shutdown

The CyberTechForums.com server has been shutdown.

The 2 reasons for this are;

• The server was far to expensive to run on my own.
• and there was a problem with the server, it would shutdown every few hours.

I have asked them when the servers will be fixed and they said there is nothing wrong with them, which everyone knows there is, so obviously instead of keeping our business and fixing the problem, we were given a refund.

When you donate you will recieve super admin on the server when it is back online.

such a shame caus we had a good thing going but mabye we can run a server with the dedicated server tool in the steam tools list i used to run a server like that on ETQW but it was laggy so i gave up but if anyone has a good internet conection then we could posibly do it

My net is 12 MB/s, and Upload is 2 MB/s
Not good enough, i would also buy 100 MB/s Download and Upload but it will be 200$ Per Month
+ A Faster CPU And More RAM.
[I Have a Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66 GHz]
[And 4GB of RAM But only 3.22 Is working]
And i Live in Israel so Pings might not be good

Problems with hosting your own server;
You need great internet speeds
You need a top notch computer that your not going to use
You need that computer to be on almost 24/7
You cant go on the computer while its hosting the server
I think only gameservers can host Ranked servers.

yer I know all that but you can use the pc while its hosting just nothing online or very stressful for the processor but I used to play and host at the same time that was probably why there was so much lag

I used to host my own Counter Strike server, it used to be great when i wasnt playing but then sucked when i did.

yer lol but my internet connection isn't that good because when I am downloading something the internet speed downstairs is really slow so I don't think I could do it 24/7

Same, and looking at Ace2Faces ping in game and his comments about his ISPs traffic, thats the most of us.

Its ok, ive got a donator onboard, hes just got to buy the game first
