The Bill S.978 that is to be passed, i believe for all of north america, is basically supposed to put copyrights on all movies, shows, etc. to stop pirating which i really don't care about, though others may. But the way that the bill is worded and set-up, it is also making it so that it is illegal to post videos of gameplay for Call of Duty, or Starcraft, or minecraft, and many more on the internet without getting fined.

the link below is to a youtube video make by DSPGAMING which is more detailed on what it is about and what it will affect.

please check it out because there is some sort of petition/letter thing in his description that may help to stop this bill from being passed :)

WTF!!! this will end me. guess i will have to rent movies from now on :(

Ya ikr, pretty dam stupid. I hope it doesn't pass cuz i was just getting started for game vids on youtube :(

I hope this doesn't get passed or I will slap someone.

If you buy the game, you should be able to post videos of the game. If this bill does get passed, I think some games will annouce to everyone that they can use footage from their games, rather than giving exclussive premission.

ya hopefully your right NiQue, they most likely saying that it's free advertisment but if they don't i'll be so pissed.

Our videos are free advertisement for CoD trust me those video game makers are trying to stop it also

If they pass this bill it would be pathetic. I really don't think it would pass though.

I also think that this will not be passed

well i think at this point it won't, but if they reword it so that it only affects movies, songs etc streaming then it probably will, but with this much resistance at this point i don't think it will.

I don't think congress meant to limit gaming so much. They just meant it for the movies and shows and all. There has probably been enough uprise for congress to see their mistake and take video games out of the situation. Also, if this DOES go through, many game producers have said that they will publicly announce (whether on the box of the game or otherwise) that they will allow such gameplay posting, as this (though not on purpose) advertises and helps game sales quite a bit.

I wouldn't worry
