Hi all,

I have made a custom coded forum in my spare time. I made it purely because I enjoy coding and like learning new things. The forums is an absolute shambles coding wise but I only plan to improve. With your help, I could potentially make something decent. The design is horrible but it's only purpose is to give the site some sort of structure. I plan to get a custom theme for the forum in the near future. I want a few users, if possible, to beta test my forum (try break it) so I can get to fixing bugs etc now opposed to later on.

I'm impressed. It would be cool if you decided to create a own forum software, and then release it. Good luck with your project mate :)

May I ask; how long did it take you to make this?

A week or 2 but only because it was my first time. I could probably code this now in a few days with improvements. Having a forum software for public users is far too much work and I'm not at that level yet. :p

Oh nice, I might attempt to make a forum software sometime. Always fun to do something :)

@Crypto, Is said the security question is wrong and resets all fields, but the security question is already filled out.

Try now. It wasn't already filled out, it just gave you the answer as a placeholder. :p

Going to get a few users to beta test it, see how my code reacts to users etc then I'll recode it from scratch with a proper theme, better code, more features etc. All beta testers will be messaged when the final site is released and will get a low UID. So you may end up getting UID 2 in the future! :)

Also, mind posting a few threads, posts etc. Try bread my site then report any bugs. :)

I had a index.html up while I was configuring a few things. It's still in early BETA. I am still to code a few critical features such as editing posts etc.

Edit: You may need to try register a few times if you get the "Incorrect security question" error... This is an error that occurring because questions/answers are held within an array. Security questions will be soon pulled from our database.

Today I will code the edit post feature and will try implement a BBCode editor too!

Just implemented a feature where the top 3 posters get a rainbow username!
