What do you guys think is the best laptop and best desktop for gaming/performance only. The screen size, life of the computer, and all that stuff doesn't matter.

I heard that Alienware has quality parts but heats up like crazy!

Well, i have a Sony Vaio.
I use it mainly for gaming, but it does great all around.
All depends on what your willing to spend really.
As far as it being a laptop it does amazing. But it does have it's limitations, some games I can play longer then others, and some I can play for like 30-40 minutes at a time because it works the laptop.
This is what I'm sporting.

I would go with Alien Ware (which is made by Dell) or go and custom build a HP desktop/laptop on their website.

Yeah Alienware are one of the best laptops right now . or XPS maybe.

Or, if you buy your own parts and build it, it will come cheaper. When you buy a laptop or desktop you are paying extra for the name on it.

Well best laptop or desktop, whichever you guys want to give opinions are.

I am using a Dell Studio 15 right now, it's not great for gaming but I can play Starcraft 2 on medium settings with a little lag. I personally hate HP because I had a HP laptop which just died one day (when I start it up, nothing shows up on the screen but it's power is on, contacted support, tried to do some BIOS recovery or something which didn't work and they said they'd need $400 to fix that piece of crap so I got a new laptop).

Im a video game addict since last 3 years , so i have somewhat people called gameRIG , anyway

INTEL CORE 2 DUO 2.93 GHZ
2x2=4GB DDR2 800 MHZ CHANNEL
ATI RADEON HD 4350
WD 1 TERABYTE HARD DRIVE
INTEX SOUND BLASTER 5000 WATTS
MICROSOFT KEYBOARD AND MOUSE , and tons of gaming rigs .. i called it my small command center !

Don't get Alienware's, they are huge and they are a rip off. It would be better if you just built your own gaming computer (wayyy cheaper).

I have HP Pavillion. Not sure of the exact model. But it's decent. Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. 4Gigs of RAM. 256MB of dedicated video memory. And a Dual Core 2.2GHZ Processor by AMD.
I'm happy with it overall. Runs everything perfectly.

Well m desktop is Acer <-- best right there
Amd phenom 9800 Quad core 2.3ghz something like that i would post specs if i was home right now.
And i smashed my laptop so... That's out of play.

you should try MSI GT660
it have good sound system..Monitor...and almost anything perfect
