Best language to learn

So I've been doing a lot of thinking the past few days about possibly learning a second language. I'm not very interested in Spanish/French. What language should I attempt to learn? I want to be able to speak fluently in the language, so I would like it to be somewhat easy to learn. I was thinking maybe German, Italian, or something along those lines.

It depends what plans you have in life. Spanish is probs the best for staying in the United States. But if you plan to travel out of the country I would pick something fun like german or french.(Assuming you are in the United States)... German is cool, but it can sound angry sometimes. I myself took french. It was fun but I have not used it a single day after taking the class.

Well develop your skills on those two.
Force yourself to learn them.

Its the two easiest languages and without them you won't be able to do more complex languages properly such as German.

But yeah I'd suggest German. It simply sounds good. And if you've had some experience in Spanish its fairly simple

I am in the United States, I was thinking German. But I am going to Basic Training in a few months. I was thinking of maybe learning German, or possibly Italian since my dad speaks it fluently.

In that case I would say learn Italian. It would be fun for you and your day to speak it together.

These are the most important languages for obvious reasons.

With all 4 languages you can communicate with over 2 billion people.
