I've heard mixed reviews...I've heard that newer games like Battlefield 4 run smoother on Windows 8, however, Windows 7 Ultimate is always been just that - an ultimate gaming operating system.
I still use XP on my back up computers and run games fine, but only thing turning me down from Windows 8 is the layout, even if you disable the Metro look/mode or w/e I feel like things are harder to do, and require much more time to do simple tasks.
+ I'm use to Windows 7, been using it since day 1 on my gaming rig. Barely any hiccups what so ever.
