Best fighting force of World war 2

Oh yeah LOL, The League of Nations was supposed to be what the United Nations is now and all of the countries were supposed to be in it. It was Wilson's brainchild however, he didn't join it. *facepalm*

That's why it failed because it was missing the keystone.

Germany can get fucked, they weren't good at anything.

death camps and shit.

Wilson did want to join it. He tried very hard but it was Congress that wouldn't allow it. The league of Nations not only failed because of the USA missing but because it had no real power or authority.

The people also didn't wanna join in, not just congress.

Though the Congress represents the people the people don't get the final choice. If the Congress felt it to be something of importance that meant more then being reelected then they would have joined. It's sad how getting a vote matters more then improving a situation; this being especially true with Medicare today.

I don't blame the people back then (when people weren't ignorant with politics), when they wanted to stay away from Europe. It's not our business, and still isn't.

Isolationism won't work because our economy relies too much on the rest of the world. The Congress should have been more intelligent and joined. Even though it was destined to be a failure because of power it still would have given it a breath of air to have had the Americans join.

It does now, but we were a lot more self sufficient in the 1930-40s

Yes it would, look at Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, and all of those countries in northern Europe.

The United States is unlike any of those countries. If you take a look at those countries none of them are world powers and could be destroyed with ease by world powers such as the United States.

Isolation is best. We don't need to be there, and I'm pretty sure I speak for many when I say that.

Germany, They were there, They were ready, And they fought till the VERY end.

UK Would put up a fair fight against USA, In the end, You'de win of course, Due to the sheer size of USA.

Its not that we want to be there its the fact that our economy largely depends on imports and exports. And I believe that if any top powers were to go into a war with no surrender it would end in the destruction of both due to nuclear arms.

Economy wouldn't change, it'll just be us not having to deal with foreign affiliations.

If we're going to trade with other countries we need to watch our interest in those countries. Now if you don't remember our ships we're attacked even though we were not directly involved in the war effort until a later point.
