Rune Gear is having a 10,000,000 GP contest celebrating the upcoming revival of RuneScape wilderness and free trade. Over the next few day leading up to the 1st of February 2011, we will be holding a contest with multiple prizes.

First place:
  • 10,000,000 gold pieces
Second place:
  • RuneScape P2P membership pin
Third place (5 winners):
  • Lifetime RG Elite
The competition is simple. The 7 people with the highest activity on the forums win. Simple as that.

As you can see, on the top right corner you have a points system enabled. You receive points for literally doing anything. The more active you are, posting, replying, etc, the more points you receive.

The point system and how it works:
Replying - 2 points
New Thread - 5 points
New Poll - 4 points
Per voting - 1 point
Per replying - 1 point
Per private message - 1 point
Per thread rate - 0.5 points
Per referral - 10 points

And for general viewing threads you get a tiny amount as well. As you can see, this game is fair for everyone, and new members can begin.

The competition ends on the 1st of February 2011 6pm GMT+10.

You should add points (if possibly) for reporting spam posts. Then if the post gets removed or something, the members who reported it get points for finding it?

Just a though =p

I don't know if this is possible or if its already been implemented but perhaps you should work on a page where we can see the current standings for leads on RG points.

Hmm.. I think I'll try for this. If I had any membership left, I would of donated some drag items to the 1st prize though. :/

Don't feel saddened. Even something as tedious as posting will be helping RG's growth effort in the long run.
